After graduating in Electronic Instructional Media from Staffordshire University, it was time for a change, so I relocated to Bath to study at the University gaining a PGCE in Technology and later in Computer Software. Moving to Bristol, and later to Aylesbury (yes, I did like moving!!), I taught for 4yrs in secondary school in Design & Technology, and Computing. It was time to move to Edinburgh, and in 1999 I joined the family company. Having worked in Public Relations, Design & Computer graphics, I felt I could bring a different dimension to the well-established print magazines. It was so important for me to learn the business from the bottom up and understanding how the collaboration and progression of the magazines worked together. The natural step was the introduction of our websites for the titles, adding email marketing, social media and we've never looked back.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing walking hockey, hill walking, cycling and helping to restore a couple of old landrovers…
